Electronic Design Engineer
(full-time)

The Electronic Design Engineer will have the responsibility to design electronic systems, fabricate lab experiments and hardware and test software and hardware. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting students, faculty and staff in the laboratories; presenting course materials for workshops and educational programs; and collaborating with faculty and students in hardware/software development.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Research Scientist
(full-time)

The Research Scientist will initiate and lead research projects related to the performance of lighting products and systems.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in engineering or related field is required; formal lighting education is desired or Doctoral degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience leading R&D projects
  • Lighting R&D background is desired

Senior Research Specialist
(full-time)

The Principal Investigator (Sr. Research Specialist) will help execute projects pertaining to transportation lighting and other lighting related areas on-time, on-budget, and high quality. Responsible for assisting in the design, development and conduct of research projects, including equipment, apparatus/equipment and experiment design. The incumbent will conduct analysis of data collected and writing up experimental results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate field and 3-5 years of experience OR Masters degree in a related field with 1-2 years of experience OR recent PhD with no post degree experience.

Senior Research Specialist
(full-time)

The Principal Investigator (Sr. Research Specialist) will help execute projects related to solid state lighting (LEDs) on-time, on-budget, and high quality. The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting in the design, development and conduct of research projects, including equipment, apparatus/equipment and experiment design; and conduct analysis of data collected and the writing up of experimental results.

  • Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate field and 3 years of experience OR Masters degree in a related field with 1 year of experience OR a recent PhD with no post degree experience.

Research Specialist - Light & Health
(full-time)

The Research Specialist for Lighting and Health is responsible for planning and conducting research projects that support the LRC's mission. Design experiments and test setups, build experimental setups, develop test protocols and conduct labe and field experiments. Analyze data, including EEG, FFT and statistical, maintain lab notebook documentation, write lab reports and techinical papers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science OR closely related field is required plus 3 years of post-degree research experience within industry.
