About Us

The LRC introduced DELTA in 1994. More than a dozen lighting case studies, each an example of good lighting for common building types - offices, schools, stores, senior housing, or industrial facilities - have been evaluated in this program.

Each case study, carefully documented to include sample specifications and dimensions, is evaluated by a consistent methodology addressing energy use, maintenance, environmental impact, occupant acceptance, and performance.

Lessons learned from these evaluations teach lighting specifiers about compatibility of lighting equipment, system performance, and ways to improve their own lighting designs. DELTA reduces a specifier's risk of using new technologies through objective performance evaluation.

Contact Jennifer Brons, Program Director, for more information about collaborating with DELTA.
